title pic A Warrior Forum Spoof

Posted by admin on January 19, 2009

hey there folks, if you’re in the real Internet Marketers world, you are either a member of or have heard of warriorforum.com.  No doubt WF is a phenomenal resource, but as of late, there has been a lot of complaining going on over there.

The most bitched about problem is ’spamming the forum’ and unfortuneately, when something works for one person, a lot of other people try to follow the pattern to duplicate success.  This has led to a lot of ‘watch me do this’ type of posts, which have gotten out of hand because suddenly the ‘thing’ you were watching is now a WSO for you to pay for the ‘behind the curtain watch me’ posts and it looks like blatant pre-wso self promotion, which is AGAINST THE RULES.

That being said however, with all the other ‘rule breaking’ being ‘permitted’ over there, it’s no wonder it’s happnening, but the real problem is that some ‘big names’ have gotten away with it.  Fear of retribution has probably stopped people from commenting on the worst perpetrator of this violation of rules and the ‘example’ that was set by permitting it may have made some members think they could get away with it as well.

Earlier tonight, someone made  a post about the watch me thread, but as I was replying to it, he decided to change it because he didn’t want the ‘drama.’  I deleted my reply because it was no longer relevant to what he changed the post to, and decided against posting it myself.  However, I do want to put it here.  Maybe I just want to get it off my chest, maybe I’ll delete it before you see it, it’s satirical in nature because I didn’t want to be ‘blatant’ about calling out the people that I myself am pretty pissed at for setting this poor example and the people who ALLOWED it to happen.  So here it is.

Watch My Stupidly Simple Plan To Nuke All the Watch Me Posts on WF, FOR FREE.

All you have to do is make a ‘kill the the threads’ thread 25-30 times a week.

*There’s a secret though, those threads have to be followed up another 10 times, but dont’ worry….. because what follows will tell you exactly how to do that.

You see, in 2-3 weeks, I will release a $27.00 ebook telling you the ‘rest’ of the things you had to follow up with to achieve this goal and gain some real ‘knowledge’. These are the things I deliberately left out of the post so you would HAVE to buy this report later when you didn’t get the results I told you that you would get when I started the thread. Don’t worry though, I am an exceptionally close friend of Ted Turner, so every time you turn on your TV, Ted has arranged for you to see my logo, urging you to buy my product…. (and you will even see it on the channels that have been deemed ‘commercial free’ by their own rules, because Ted Turner owns the network and he says it’s ok.)

The upsell of the ‘video series’ will be available shortly after that, and it will only cost you $5,000 a month for this expert tutelage in how to keep allowing me to bait you forever and ever.

Now, all satire aside,

Sometimes they are meant so that the OP can hold him or herself accountable to someone. IMr’s tend to be ‘lone wolf’ types. With no accountability to anyone, it’s easy to ’slack off.’

Sometimes they are self promotion.

But at least they’re trying to give something in return for the support and the following. It’s far better than the threads that are disguised as “MAGIC” when what they are in fact is a set up for a later offer, where you get the ‘left out parts’, that left you wondering why it wasn’t working for you.

Business and office politics go hand in hand. Some will get away with things, others will not. It’s the way of the world. The key is in figuring out how to either be one of the ones who gets away with it, or how to rise above needing to.

Finally, I agree, often they can be just more confusing than not having known nothing at all.

For anyone who needs help with the ‘information overload’ issue, I have a post on this forum with a report, 100% FREE. Find my “Antidote For Information Overload Report”. I’m not gonna give you the link. Use the Search feature. If you don’t know how to use the search feature, well, learn and now you’ll learn two things instead of one. Besides, I don’t want to be accused of self promotion and I’m certainly not looking to hijack the thread. That was just a point to how the ‘follow me’ posts can be helpful and the way that the ‘harmful effects’ (info overload) can be overcome.

And on that note, there are too many ‘watch me posts’ going on. As much as I wish I could, I can’t ‘watch’ everyone, and the options are just too many to choose from. Start out with ‘here’s how I… STARTED’… then follow up with ‘watch my next step…’ Those are the ones that tend to engage me.

I’m not going to tell you that I made a gazillion dollars in 3 minutes doing this. My mechanic suggested I do this one day while I was shooting the breeze with him waiting on my car to be fixed. I did, it works like a charm. If you want to do some offline marketing, this is an awesome way to really GIVE them something to get their business and it dazzles them every time.

Step 1: Identify five types of businesses in your local area.

Here’s the list I started this with:

Jewlery stores
Wedding Service businesses
Accounting Services
Auto Repair and Towing
Travel

Step 2: Go to Wal-Mart or your local office supply store and buy blank DVD’s

Step 3: Now, make a video for each TYPE of business.
Just download pics from I-stock photo or any Royalty Free site
Import the pictures into Windows Movie Maker
Add some title overlays and effects
Add Music or voice-over, (you can use the open source Audacity for this, and a mic)

Step 4: Then make a video for your services. With your contact information on it.

Step 5: At the end of each businesses video, cut in your own video.

Step 6: Burn 5-10 copies of each video to DVD’s.(put them in cases)

Step 7: Attach a miniature greeting card to the DVD that offers to customize it and upload it to their website for them for only $x.xx (whatever price your comfortable with)

There are a lot of things you can do with this idea. If you have Camtasia, you can make an Animoto video and screen capture it so that you ‘cut out’ the Animoto logo at the end.

If you know how to use bubbleply, you can offer to build them a site and embed their ‘video with clickable links’ into it on their site.

They dont’ have a site? Well that’s an offlind GOLD customer waiting to happen isn’t it?

Take this idea, put your own spin and go make offline money. 2009 is YOUR YEAR.

Warmest Holiday Wishes,
Marcus

Posted by admin on

Happy New Year Everyone.

The Best Thing You Can Do For Yourself in 2009 is to cure the “Information Overload Syndrome.”

In a moment, I’ll show you two pictures of the ‘cure’ that I created using construction paper and magic markers. Of course, you can’t see the writing because 1.) I’m a lousy photographer and 2.) well, ok, so I don’t want to give away my niches, but the visual aid might just be the “Antidote” you’ve been looking for.

I thought with today being January 1, 2009, this would be a good time for anyone who is resolving (or ’solving’ if you are a JMO fan), to ‘embrace their Internet business’ or other such similiar resolutions, to start with ‘filtering out the noise of Information Overload’ by just looking at a very simple mind map. Nothing fancy done with software, but something as simple as construction paper and magic markers. But first,

Here’s the cause of Information Overload.

You’ve been programmed to believe that you can exploit a method
without a model. That you can implement a strategy without a
system. That you can use a tool without technology. And still make
money.
This is a half-truth. You can ‘make money’ but you can’t build a business on ‘methods’ alone. A business has to have ‘legs’ to stand on. Like a house, it needs a ‘foundation’ to rest on, support systems to hold the roof up, doors and windows for ‘light,’ plumbing systems for movement, electrical systems to support new technologies.

A business needs:

  • A model
  • A market
  • Systems
  • Strategies
  • Tools
  • Technologies
  • Methods

Getting into ‘Internet Marketing’ is seductive to
say the least. You’ve been told that you don’t have to know anything
or have any money to start making money. And that’s partly true.
If you implement the system that makes the method work, you might

be lucky enough to make a few bucks.

If you’re a smart cookie you’ll be able to ‘leverage’ those few bucks into more profitable ventures and build a business. But if not, look at these two pictures below:

The Operation

The Operation

The Marketing System

The Marketing System

A business model identifies the ‘type’ of business that exists within an
industry. A business model determines who your customers are. A
business model has a marketing plan defined by it’s target market
and it has systems, strategies, tools and technologies for creating it’s
products, services, marketing messages and for distributing those
products, services and marketing messages through defined

distribution channels.

As you can see in the picture, I have this model color coded.
In green I have two business models. You don’t have to have two. I
just do. You’ll understand why in a moment, but let’s stay on track
for now…
I have Products on one side, and Services on the other side.
Products then has two branches on it, one for products I have
created, or own some kind of MRR or PLR to, and another branch for
products I am ‘affiliated’ with. These two types of products are
separately color coded so that I can easily distinguish between the
two.

Each of them falls under the same ‘color’ of ‘Products’, and each of

them also has a common color to denote the ‘niche’ that it would fall

under, or in the case of ‘affiliate marketing,’ fit in with.

Some of my ‘affiliate’ products fall under the same
‘niche’ as products I ‘own.’ So the book I have own in the Health
Niche, which is a depression book could also have links within the

book to my ‘affiliate products’ that I have a domain name for in my

‘affiliate products’ branch. However, as you can see in my Pets niche,
I don’t have my own book on the topic, so I would only drive traffic to

that site via marketing methods and distribution channels.

The Pets niche has a different colored
‘cloud’ under the niche header color cloud, is because it’s ‘yet to be
developed’. But by using that color, I know that it is something I
want to develop.

Here’s a ‘Mock’ Model.

It absolutely does take money to make money.

“Anyone who says otherswise, is selling something” Dread Pirate Wesley, “The Princess Bride.”

Of course you can start an Internet business with very little money, but

A.) It’s pretty much only possible with affiliate products, free blogs and the hope and the prayer that you’ll actually get paid your commissions- ahem.. Clickbank thread on this very forum right now about people losing sales.

* I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again… “AFFILIATE MARKETING IS NOT A STABLE BUSINESS MODEL.”

It might be a good way to get started in the business for ‘free’ but if you get what you pay for, what are you really going to have? Wouldn’t you rather have a properly funded ‘BUSINESS?’

JUST KEEP READING

B. It’s the ‘education’ and the ‘tools’ that you need that are a vital part of making your business a success that will cost you money.

I’m giving to ‘give you’ right here, everything you need to do to start making money on the Internet. If you don’t have enough money to do it, finance it. If you do, then here you go. Knock yourself out!

Education

How To Make A Business Plan $27.00 ebook

How To Set Up Google Adsense $17.00 ebook
How To Outsource Your Business $27.00 ebook
How To Write Copy That Sells $27.00 ebook

How To Make Video $47.00 ebook
How To Make Audio $37.00 ebook

TOTAL $287.00

ADD HANDS-ON TRAINING SEMINAR $1,997.00

$2,284.00 TOTAL

The Business Itself

Fixed Monthly Expenditures
Hosting $10.00 a month
Autoresponders $30.00 a month
Google Adwords Budget To Drive Traffic $500.00 a month
Outsourcing Your Traffic Generation $97.00 a month

TOTAL FIXED MONTHLY EXPENDITURES $637.00

ONE TIME EXPENDITURES
Outsourcing Your Content Creation $500.00

TOTAL MONTHLY COST TO RUN YOUR BUSINESS $637.00

TOTAL START-UP COST FOR ONE WEBSITE $1,237.00

If you sell a $27.00 product- you need to sell approximately 50 copies of it to recoup your total initial investment

AND

You need to sell approximately 30 copies each month to break even on your monthly expenditures.

So you would need to sell a TOTAL of 50 copies a month to break even and realize a profit of $540.00 per month per website.

So if you sell 80 copies of your book in the first month, you have recouped your initial investment (which you can now re-invest into the next website)

BACK TO YOUR OVERALL BUSINESS

With the cost of your education and the start up costs for your first website, you will need a total investment of $3,521.00. At a profit of $22.00 per sale (remember your product is $27.00 but you have to subtract out merchant processing fees), it will take 160 sales of your product to recoup your total investment in your business.

With an estimated 50 copies sold each month, it would take you a little over 3 months to break even, at which point, you will be earning $1,100 per month from one website.

But is selling 50 copies of one book possible?

Well that depends on how much demand there is for a book on the topic, and on how many places you are promoting it on the web.

Can you sell less copies of a higher priced product?
Sure. That’s another option.

CONCLUSION
As I stated at the beginning of this post, this is merely an exercise in ‘thought.’ Some, many in fact, of the numbers mentioned and costs associated with this post are not ‘defnitive’. Most of the ‘education’ can be found free online especially right here on the Warrior Forum. The costs of procuring a domain name and hosting can vary, and even the product creation, SEO, outsourcing and etc, costs may vary.

The point of this post is to get you thinking about building a business and not just trying free ways to make money online.
